User Agreement

1. Product provided

BisqueBook is an on-device studio glaze-test journal. You can photograph test tiles, record recipes and voice notes, group tiles into series and kiln loads, compare tiles side by side, export share cards, and optionally use AI Glaze Read and Compare for observation suggestions. It is a notebook, not a professional ceramic, kiln-safety, food-safety, or laboratory analysis service.

By downloading or using BisqueBook you agree to this User Agreement. Please read it with the Privacy Policy, which you can open anytime under Me → About.

2. Eligibility and studio safety

You must be able to enter a binding agreement and use the App lawfully where you live. Follow manufacturer guidance and local safety rules for kilns, glaze materials, and studio equipment. Nothing in BisqueBook replaces kiln manuals, material safety data sheets, or lab testing.

3. User content and local data

You own your recipes, notes, photos, and voice recordings. They are stored on your device, and there is no BisqueBook account or cloud backup for them, so you are responsible for keeping backups of anything that matters to your practice.

4. Optional AI features

Glaze Read, Compare, voice-note structuring, and share-line rewrite send the content described in the Privacy Policy to DeepSeek only after you tap Allow AI features. AI output is an observation draft: it can be wrong, it never certifies a glaze as food-safe or non-toxic, and it is written to a card only when you confirm. Declining AI keeps manual journaling fully available.

5. Optional measurement

This version of BisqueBook has no measurement, analytics, or tracking features. It does not ask for permission to track you, and nothing about your use is sent for advertising or attribution. If that ever changes, we will update the Privacy Policy and ask for any permission iOS requires first.

6. In-App Purchases

BisqueBook is free and currently offers no in-app purchases, subscriptions, or digital studio credits.

7. Acceptable use

Do not use the App to break the law, infringe others’ rights, or attempt to disrupt or abuse the AI service that optional features rely on. Do not reverse engineer the App except where local law allows.

8. Apple terms

Your download and use of the App are also subject to Apple’s Media Services terms and the App Store’s standard licensed application end user license agreement. Apple is not responsible for the App or its support.

9. Disclaimer and liability

The App is provided as a practical studio notebook. AI suggestions are assistive only. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for kiln outcomes, glaze defects, lost tiles, or decisions you make based on notes or suggestions in the App.

10. Changes and contact

We may update this agreement by publishing a new version at the same address. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms. Contact: glaze@bisquebook.app
